Great Kills Garden Club was founded in 1954 and joined the Federated Garden Clubs of NYS in l956. Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month (except January) at 10:00AM at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 397 Clarke Avenue, Staten Island, NY. We encourage civic beautification and maintain a garden at the entrance of Bloomingdale Park and plantings at Seaside Nature Center. We participate in numerous events around Staten Island including the Richmond County Fair and Blue Star Memorial events. We have fund raising bus trips, including our annual trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show. Our monthly meetings always include an entertaining program about gardening, nature, floral design, the environment, or a hands-on-make it and take it workshop.
